No big deal, just the supervisor of the Intelligence branch of the DC police's Homeland Security Bureau being indicted for sharing sensitive information with the leader of the Proud Boys (a violent extremist group) before and after January 6 https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23816948-lamonds-indictment

@brendannyhan Wow it's almost like all these groups are fed ops or something
@brendannyhan gee I wonder how I get stalked?
@brendannyhan So this is what they mean by "deep state operative."
@brendannyhan Jesus so many institutions are corrupted. It's frightening - we're headed full steam towards a Russian-like authoritarian shithole.
@brendannyhan
P.S. don’t use Telegram for secure messaging.
@brendannyhan put the truth is out there
@brendannyhan
Surprised to see that law enforcement is able to get past encrypted messages given their hyperbolic statements that it is unpossible. Does @mmasnick know?

@brendannyhan

Not really field-bright to be the "supervisor of the intelligence branch."

Thankfully.

@brendannyhan at least we caught him..this was bigger than we will know, and yes they will do it again if trumplethinskin runs& loses

@brendannyhan

Reminds me of the head of NYC counter-intelligence for the FBI being arrested for working for "Putin's Oligarch" Derapaska.

The FBI has managed to keep the Charles McGonigal story out of the news; no major reports or investigations at all.

People in the government commit these crimes, but the media will only report if it fits their subservient agenda.

@jebba @brendannyhan what has happened w that?

@feralcatus @brendannyhan

The biggest espionage case in 50 years, and he's out on bail.

Meanwhile, protestors in Georgia are held without bail.
