It does make you wonder doesn’t it. I would guess they feel justice is somehow remote, distracted or absent. It’s not I hope, yet, but….
Need to start constructing guillotines and otherwise making a couple examples.
@StevenBeschloss
and thus far, they have been correct
CONSEQUENCES are needed
And no one seems to care.
@StevenBeschloss Also, what's really scary is that instead of undermining authoritarianism/fascism, this corruption is entirely serving it.
Historically, corruption and criminality has sometimes been at cross purposes with fascism (e.g. the original Mafia and the German nazis *hated* each other.) To see them join in common cause is terrifying.
and it's all in the Republican party. The party that can only win elections, any elections by gerrymandering.
Kelcy Warren is suing Beto O'Rourke for defamation for calling him corrupt.
People like Kelcy Warren act like a cheesy version of Voldemort with the "cannot be named" intimidation tactics.
Cannot wait for the discovery on this one. It's going to be an eye opener. It's not defamation because it is true. GOP donors are corrupt.
Oil billionaires are funding a global fascist movement & frying the planet.
One wonders how a political party like this even can exist… undemocratic, unethical, Machiavellian, power is the only goal….
Seems they know a thing or two about Lady Justice and her scales. Things the majority of us don't have the means to know quite as intimately.
"The thing" that bothers me is that that list covers all three branches of government, and none of those branches has demonstrated an effective self-correcting response.
They have no resilience against criminal actors.
