Historically, corruption and criminality has sometimes been at cross purposes with fascism (e.g. the original Mafia and the German nazis *hated* each other.) To see them join in common cause is terrifying.

@StevenBeschloss When the choice is made to serve money over people, bad /evil is released. This of course is supercharged when the Judges serve money over people. And is compounded when the lawmakers who should insist on a rule of ethics (including financing transparency) for themselves, Judges also serve money. Yet here we are.
