We started re-watching warehouse 13.

Warehouse 13 is a show with a fun high concept that suffers from low budgets and uneven writing.

Every time I watch it, the whole time I watch it, I'm thinking about a dozen different ways that I could remix or reimagine this core idea in to something different.

And this basic concept is at the heart of a bunch of shows. The librarians, for example, or even the x-files.

People research mysteries, people find the unexplained, everything is solved in half an hour, lather, rinse, repeat as needed.

And I keep coming back to it.

So the thing that I have worked on that's most directly inspired by warehouse 13 is this old idea called #dreadfulDocs

The idea is pretty simple:
High level overview: It's a collection of documents from a victorian era attempt to catalog the occult (the "dreadfuls") presented as an Archive in process.

Now that we're working on #NETV I keep seeing how this could play out as a TV show.

Either way, I need to spend the weekend or two to get the terminal/telnet/SSH interface for the dreadful docs up and running, and the gemini interface.
@ajroach42
any similarity to the SCP foundation?
@ajroach42 I loved it anyways. Watched the whole thing after you talked about it last time :).
@ajroach42 But yeah, it's a great formula. Adventure of the week type stuff with wacky sci-fi stuff is fun.
@kelbot oh it's a ton of fun, and if you've never seen The Librarian films/TV show, they follow the same path from a more traditional fantasy perspective.
@ajroach42 It's a mess of a show that I enjoyed quite a bit.
