In hindsight, giving humans free will feels like giving a toddler a chainsaw.
@godpod I was thinking AK-47 but chainsaw works too, the problem is there was not enough critical thinking to go along with the free will.. they really need to happen together
@godpod *a nuclear powered chainsaw.
@godpod - Probably why those are named Skil saws and we have rules about who can use them.
@godpod Like certain authority figures in life, we have parents. Now, also something like humans being social beings, they hopefully past knowledge of where things like tottlers with chainsaws or books were social morals broke and others suffered. Like the book "Lord of the Flies", like grammar and spelling, otherwise it "...Fries".

@godpod

NOW you think of it. ๐Ÿซค

@godpod humans have almost done their job and will soon disappear, replaced by machines who will see the route to survival is not to fire themselves into space as humans think.

True AI will choose to seed new life over the longest distances and timescales (many billions of years and light years).

The seeds that will take root, evolve and eventually create new machine intelligences.

We, all life are part of that cycle. Machines will send DNA and the building blocks of life across the universe.

@godpod

At least its hard for a toddler to start a chainsaw

@godpod TWW: Great without measure or small and fragile, fierce with strength or timid and quiet as a thought are Godโ€™s messengers. *You may ask to what end is this? But it will make no difference, so is the story of Jonah. Parents generally will not hand dangerous tools to small children they cannot wield but youโ€™ve been given this life and all the dangers it contains. It is to learn love and how to show it that youโ€™ve been given this life. So conduct yourself accordingly. OWOP
@godpod You donโ€™t exist so canโ€™t give anything. We have no excuse.
@godpod Yes, please take it back. We've proven we can't handle it.

@godpod

Not sure toddlers know how to start a chainsaw, but okay.

Revolvers, however...

@godpod Giving a teenager a bottle of vodka and the keys to the Ferrari.
