We live in a society with people like David French, who frames uncivilized #vigilantekillings as some kind of expected social reaction to subway #crime. I wish I were making this up. But in a convoluted opinion piece in The New York Times, French managed to cast some form of blame for Neely’s #killing on everybody—including #Neely himself.
