Ever have one of those problems that feel like a rabbit hole?

Trying to set up a new computer, want to set the drive to GPT, try to configure the BIOS for UEFI, manage to brick the motherboard due to a buggy BIOS, based off a page of somebody with nearly the same motherboard, get a CH341A , it doesn't work. Find out the BIOS chip is 1.8V and I had hooked up a 3.3V programmer. Oh no did I fry it? Let me check with salae logic analyzer. Newer version won't install, get an older version....

I'm leaving out some nonsense. But at least it doesn't look like I fried the chip. Apparently the BIOS chip can go up to 133 MHz and my logic analyzer only goes up to 24 MHz so it likely wasn't capturing the data, but it doesn't look dead.
