If someone comes at you on here with “actually, Nazis were socialists,” just block them and don’t look back. Do yourself this little kindness.
@mcnees funny how those types always neglect the "national" part...

@dyckron @mcnees
Also the part where they were constantly grandiose, cynical liars (like their heirs in this century).

It can't matter what name the Nazis chose. They could have been called the democratic benevolent justice party, and they'd still be monsters who thought there were categories of people who didn't matter.

That's how we identify them today too, whatever they call themselves.

@petealexharris @dyckron @mcnees Bang on & side question when is your Glasgow writer's circle? Also can others join?
@sentient_water @dyckron @mcnees
The Glasgow writers group currently organised on Meetup is every other Thursday and anyone can join. The GSFWC is Tuesdays I think, bur I haven't been along to that for a while and I don't help organise it.
@petealexharris @dyckron @mcnees Thanks Pete. I visited Glasgow the other day & I would like any excuse to visit more often. I also need a friendly kick up the arse to get back into writing. Is there any online links to get in touch? Please & thanks.

All the meetings are still online using jitsi since the pandemic, so you won't need to be physically in Glasgow (we've had regulars from as far away as California before 😀)

@petealexharris @dyckron @mcnees I suppose I could visit a coffee shop in Glasgow & do it there. I drank the first decent coffee I've had in the UK for forever there recently.

I'll put it on my schedule. Thanks.

@sentient_water @petealexharris @dyckron Just the mention of a coffee shop in Glasgow got me thinking about the time in the mid-90s when I lived on the west end. I've been on google maps all morning trying to see which places I used to go to that are still around. (The answer is not a lot, though my old flat on Kelvinhaugh St still appears to be there!)
