Fascist DeSantis signed “medical freedom” bills into law

When a republican uses the word “freedom” you know it’s gonna be bad

• Businesses are not allowed to have vaccine requirements or mask mandates

• Doctors, pharmacists can refuse care to *anyone* if they feel like it

- This includes gender affirming care

- Before you say “good an atheist can refuse care to a judgey Christian!” Nope. One-way street. Can’t discriminate based on religion. Just pronouns.

@flexghost I would imagine that the AMA could sanction Docs that opt to not fulfill their oaths, but I don't expect that they actually would do that.

@kflanagan laws that have fines for their penalties are only laws for the poor. The AMA knows they can send their fine to any large republican donor directly
