The concentration of wealth in the hands of an elite few isn't just bad for our economy. It's corrosive to our democracy.

When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, the American people don't have a voice.

The result is demagoguery and corruption.

@rbreich the danger seems to be around a few groups getting out in front and fixing things so it stays that way. I’m thinking Haiti. Louisiana from before Huey long for instance, big oil, big farmers, happy times for both. Long built roads, schools, and hospitals, not leveling the playing field, but widening the gates, at least for a while.
