Have been listening the #cw bands for several weeks, now.

My humble requests to (some) #cw ops :

** Some guys just cant send slow when replying to a poor beginner sending @12wpm. Not cool.

** Timing (and I'm not talking about the beginners here).

** Spaces between words, guys !!

** Callsigns sent at a blazing speed, no spaces between repeats.
=> Don't hit like mad this memory button on your keyer !!

** Did I mention this ? Timing & SPACE between words, guys !!!!

Gonna switch to FT8.

I'm with your complaint, @F4JWJ:

"Some guys just can't send slow when replying to a poor beginner sending @12wpm. Not cool."

You absolutely CAN enter #hamradio #MorseCode at speed 12 wpm and expect nice satisfying QSOs.

But unfortunately, not all will be that way. Too often, the op at the other end will not "pse QRS", not adjust speed. (Sending faster than the other op can copy is both rude and useless.)

I say: Ignore the jerks. Enjoy the others, whom you also WILL meet.

Or go FT-8 🤷.

@dj3ei @F4JWJ I'm always happy to QRS for anyone. I remember how painful it was copying 5wpm so happy to slow down from 35wpm. 🙂

@va3db @dj3ei
I would do the same.

I've no problem slowing down from my current 0 wpm to 0 wpm ! 🙃

@va3db @dj3ei

@va3db How long to go from 5 WPM to 35 WPM?

Will one life be enough?

@F4JWJ @dj3ei Easily as long as you treat it as fun and not a challenge.

@va3db @dj3ei

@va3db It will be funnier in the (hopefully near) future.

In a way, my über-stakhanovist, challenge-loving self appreciates where I am right now.
Taxing at times, but rewarding - at last!

You know, the journey and the destination...

@dj3ei @F4JWJ I encountered one of those non-QRSers when I was a beginner. The [insert the most vile insult imaginable] individual lived in a nearby building.
