Funny how abuse apologists often say their abuser friend just needs mental health treatment, and survivors shouldn't rush to impose negative consequences against the abuser before that happens, but never ever offer to help get their abuser friends victims the same treatment.

Like, I can see "they're not okay" being valid in a "shit happens" situation, where there's no express intent to harm anyone specific, and there's a risk of crowd baiting/disproportionate harassment etc.

but SA and DV aren't those situations, they're planned, targeted, intentional.

And if someone goes as far as committing SA and/or DV to oppress and harm someone, IMO, they might as well be any other sort of intentionally oppressive enemy and deserve anything they get re consequences.
