Recently a neighbour looked at one of my bikes and said "you must have lots of money".

He owns a soft-top Audi and a new city van which he's just bought.

It's amazing how people can erase/ignore the cost of motor vehicles from their minds. It's a really impressive trick. You hear the same when people comment about cargo bikes which could actually replace a car!

@velobetty Audi, average yearly mileage, prob. costs something like Β£1,800 to fuel for a year. You could buy a decent amount of bike for that - every year.
