The thing is, I know what's going on, here. Sure, some people want to keep their windows shut for allergy reasons, but it got pretty hot a few days ago so people switched their thermostats to cooling mode and simply stopped thinking about the weather.
It got to about 73° in here from insolation before I opened up windows, so some ACs would definitely be kicking on by now if people did the ol' set and forget
Richard Morrill@TechConnectify I find it takes at least a 15 degree difference between my desired interior temperature and the temperature outside for opening a window to provide sufficient cooling. So there's lots of days where I'd be comfortable, or even a little chilly outside but would be sweating if I just opened my windows. I guess it could be possible to move enough air with lots of big fans, but it hardly seems worth it since I'll be needing to run my AC 24/7 in a week or two one way or another.
