What if we just consider “desire to own an AR-15” a mental health issue?
@AmishSuperModel anyone fantasising about a semiautomatic weapon- has by definition imagined killing multiple people at once. It’s obviously a mental illness.
@ChuffMeister @AmishSuperModel That’s a hell of an assumption.
@dssstrkl @AmishSuperModel so you honestly believe anyone with one hasn’t imagined shooting people? Just try imagining working a machine gun.
What are they designed to do?
Ask any kid.

@ChuffMeister @AmishSuperModel Yes. I own an AR-15 entirely because it’s fun to shoot at the range. The thought of using it on people never crossed my mind. I also enjoy archery, have a problem with that too? I’m sure the French at Agincourt might.

Shockingly, I’m a hard-core leftist (not liberal) who also believes in strong gun regulation and research.

@dssstrkl @AmishSuperModel why do you have an automatic weapon? Do you need to storage the targets? Why are you practicing shooting an automatic weapon?
Not being inflammatory with these questions just curious. I have never met a weapon owner who hadn’t imagined using it in some context even if it’s family defence.
If you just enjoy shooting why even use targets?
@ChuffMeister @AmishSuperModel Semi-auto; it’s generally illegal for civilians to own full auto weapons. It’s fun to shoot and I enjoy the challenge of hitting targets at long range. I buy paper targets at the range. If you don’t use targets, how do you know you’re hitting what you’re aiming at?
