@AAKL @howelloneill It’s too bad that we let these bad actors get away with twisting what free speech really means. It doesn’t mean you can say anything you want on any platform, which are technically private property, you want without facing the consequences of your speech. Corporations are free to decide what they want to allow or disallow. Freedom of speech only means the government can’t tell you what you can and cannot say, think, write or read.
@unixgeek @AAKL @howelloneill You're right about the law, but non-govt censorship can suck. E.g., I was on forum that had an area for political debate. In 2016, I posted that Trump was a threat to democracy and that a good argument for education was that more educated people were less likely to support this type of politician. A mod deleted my post and sent me a stern message that it might hurt people's feelings (i.e., his). I left, but I shouldn't have had to leave just because of this guy.
