There are two very wrong, very dangerous claims being made in my mentions right now. One is that nothing ever happens on gun safety. The other is that Democrats have done nothing on the issue.
There’s even an odd third one claiming Democrats haven’t been bipartisan enough on it. These claims are not only wrong but dangerous to efforts to elect people to office who will bring more change. The problem is that as has happened with local laws, the NRA can sue and the Supremes will rule in the NRA's favor. We need tough national gun control laws. Until we can get the Greedy Obstructionist Psychos (GOP) out of office, that's not likely to happen. What we COULD do, though, is to somehow insure SCOTUS is not overrun with GOP partisan hacks. The Dems haven't exactly been proactive enough in that regard.
AND, the Democrats never did enough to prevent Trump from spreading his virulent, violent White Supremacist ideology. Trump could have been stopped during the primaries, when he was inciting his followers to violence and calling on Russia to help him win.
