I got my information from a couple of Swedish doctors, the science about masks differs here from that in USA.

this is what I read:

...The filter size of a surgical mask is about 15,000-30,000 nanometers (nm), or one billionth of a meter, while a coronavirus is in the order of 60-130 nm. So the actual holes in the mask, or the distance between the fibers, are 1,000 times larger than the virus particle itself!

...Of course, the virus particles do bind to dust grains and also to small water droplets, but even these are much smaller (1,000 - 5,000 nm) than the filter size of the mask. If we consider that a surgical mask cannot be completely sealed either, it becomes even more obvious that they have no effect.

we are talking about two different things,
when people talk about masks these days it has to do with Covid-19 in most cases.

you say that

I don't know about other uses, I am no doctor or nurse or anything

I am familiar with the mRNA vaccine critics like Robert W Malone, Steve Kirsch and others

they are falsely called for "Anti-vaxxers"

I have spread their propaganda and I still do.

@otso @hannu_ikonen Covid is an airborne virus and requires airborne virus countermeasures. The only masks we *should* be talking about in regards to covid are N-95 rated (or better). Talking about surgical masks in regards to covid makes no sense unless you're a time traveller from the first half of 2020.
