Abrupt warming made March 2023 the 2nd warmest March since record-keeping began in 1850. A return to El Niño is possible later this year.

The Blue is West of Iceland/East of the Southern shore of Greenland.
An artefact?

@ZLabe There's more than one bit of blue. Others have mentioned the bits near Iceland, but what's up with the _Sea_of_Okhotsk_ (oops; correction, Strait of Tartary)?
