Trajecient@Fragglemuppet Has other benefits too. If it hadn't been for the Alt Text awareness on Mastodon, I wouldn't have known to implement it more usefully on my personal web site.
Unfortunately, there are various guides out there where Alt Text is principally viewed as a place for search engine optimisation.
