Alright, I like it here (on #Calckey, I mean). Now, it's not perfect, I don't like everything about it (but I don't like everything about #Mastodon either). My problem is that the things I don't like here (mostly I find the UI a bit too crowded) I like over at Mastodon and vice versa. Not a big problem, except that it means I kinda want to stay on both. I already have two accounts on Mastodon (one sort of serious, one less, although the divide is not clear-cut) and I kinda want to keep both.

So what should be the purpose of this one? Double-posting things? That's gonna annoy people who follow me in several places. Keep only one Mastodon account and move the other one here. Once again, I like both accounts...

Why am I always indecisive like this? (I'm kinda thinking out loud, but if you have suggestions, knowing that the ideal would be fewer accounts, not more... I regularly fail at this ideal)
@David I think keep only one Mastodon account and move the other one here is the right solution, man. And totally agree with you about the UI here is a bit too crowded, but I still prefer #calckey than #Mastodon somehow, I guess is the desgin.
Don't know if you have tried out
#WireMin yet, I think it is pretty user-friendly.
@Sheesh Thanks. WireMin doesn't seem to be a part of the Fediverse. Is it?
@David You are right man.

At first, I thought it was a Fediverse platform, but after reading their official FAQ, I attached it (because I found their app to be kinda user-friendly n made me want to continue using it), I discovered that they are completely decentralized (even though it is not just for sending messages, they also have a feed space).

This raised a question in my mind whether being decentralized is more reliable and secure than being part of the Fediverse?

@David It’s similar for me. Some stuff I enjoy here, but other stuff on Mastodon I enjoy is missing. So I‘m doing both accounts and annoy people. I also guess that followers will start to be a bit different here and there, so let’s see. But before there’s a large, viable and diverse EU instance running Calckey, Mastodon.social is my main account.
@David I like the Calckey interface better than Mastodon's, at least the browser versions, in no small part because Calckey's has less contrast and that is less bothersome to my broken neurologicals. The content I'm seeing is very much like Mastodon though and I don't really fit in there so I'm not optimistic about here either. Having a Trending widget only highlights that too. I like that a widget can be dispensed with but haven't found any which help me. 🤷

Anyway, I'm not bothered by seeing double posts from you, at least for awhile. I followed you here as well in part to understand the differences between the platforms. However you end up using your accounts, I'll adjust to suit :)
@emma Yes, I think I'm going to keep the three accounts for now. Maybe remain mostly on Mastodon, and keep Calckey for things that fit it better (that would be longer posts and when I really need to "Quote Boost" a post).
Now, I know that I won't help it and double-post quite regularly. :-)
