It's #BandcampFriday again!

Not familiar? #Bandcamp is an online #music distribution service, and on Bandcamp Fridays they waive their revenue share so artists get up to 93% of your purchase. You can download in a variety of formats, and some artists sell CDs, vinyls, and even cassettes or other merch.

Anyone buy anything? Favorite artist you want to recommend? Let me know! I'm always looking for new music to listen to.

Here's some recommendations of my own:

- Chris Christodoulou has done soundtracks for a variety of games, most notably the Risk of Rain series. https://chrischristodoulou.bandcamp.com/

- Tortoise is a post-rock band with strong jazz influences. Their 1998 album TNT is particularly great. https://tortoise.bandcamp.com/album/tnt

- Sticking with post-rock, Grails has a number of great albums, especially Chalice Hymnal. https://grails.bandcamp.com/album/chalice-hymnal

- Deru's 1979 is a great bit of ambient electronic music. https://deru.bandcamp.com/album/1979

@LadyMarth01 I’d not heard of Tortoise before but this is immediately my jam! Gonna check Grails out next
@LadyMarth01 Oh man, I adore Grails! Burning Off Impurities and Deep Politics are my favorite of their albums; I especially like their cover of All The Colors Of the Dark on Deep Politics.
@DoctorLURK Deep Politics is great! I Led Three Lives in particular, with its blatant allusion to Call Me by Blondie.
@LadyMarth01 yeah, and Almost Grew My Hair is choice... it's really just a great album from start to finish.
@LadyMarth01 just because it’s what I’m listening to right now: https://toe-music.bandcamp.com/album/doku-en-kai

@coffeentacos Nice pick! I've only listened to The Book About My Idle Plot on a Vague Anxiety a couple of times, but thought it was pretty great. Been meaning to listen to some of their other stuff, and now's a great excuse! Definitely right in my wheelhouse.

@christinkallama Are you sure this isn't some lost record from the 70s or so? 😆 Really impressive how much this nails glam rock.
