The Florida legislature just passed a bill allowing the state to kidnap trans children from their parents

Also, Florida now prevents minors from receiving life saving gender-affirming care

SB 254 passed the Florida senate 26-14 and house 83-28

This should horrify everyone.

Reminder: HB 1297 will allow FL to execute medical professionals for “assaulting minors” if they even try to administer care

This is fascism. It must be stopped.

@flexghost What will FL endocrinologists and teen psychotherapists do? Just leave? Sue? I'd love a reporter to followup...

"Medical facilities would have to give the state Department of Health a signed attestation that they neither provide gender-affirming care to any patients under the age of 18 nor refer people to providers that do. Their medical license renewal is contingent upon sending in this attestation."

@flexghost and they will be damned if they do, or don't as the legislation says minors currently in treatment can continue, and telehealth is banned. So they have to stay to continue treatment to current patients, must attest they are not, and can't leave and consult by zoom.
