The fact that the $7.25/hour federal minimum wage hasn't been raised since 2009 is atrocious.

But it's actually far worse than that.

The federal minimum wage is worth ~30% less today than it was worth in 2009.

It’s worth ~40% less than in 1968.

It’s time to raise the wage.

@rbreich Sorry to hear this…. Our “socialist” state (Canada) still believes in universal healthcare (with privatization inroads) and somewhat reasonable wages of between $14.15 to $16.77 which allows a cost of living/min wage balance to give families a chance to live…..

I agree but how many states (and which ones) have raised the minimum wage on their own? In Arizona it's in the upper teens.
