When you vote, politely say you wish to officially report you are unhappy with the PhotoID requirement.

Polling officers are obligated to record your discontent.

NB You can return back to your polling station and do this should you have voted already.

@alstonvicar I understand the point, but my enquiry resided around disenfranchisement.

I followed the law because I was able. My contention is that many weren't x
