No i really REALLY dont pay for that service. A service that dumps things onto Mastodon, but we should join #Twitter where the real business happens.

Sorry i feel very degraded for beeing native in the Fediverse

@crazy_pony yeah I just learned that my twitter was basically ported? Bridged? Using this new instance, without my consent or permission or input, last March. It’s not ok and whoever’s responsible for this project/server needs to stop doing this to accounts without asking. Really really concerning behavior.

@rubberdogaros @crazy_pony So, how does one find out if thier Twitter acct was brought over to birdmakeup? If one does find thier acct there, is there a way to ask them to take it down

I was already on the Fediverse before Musk's takeover. I don't need birdmakeuo to "help" bring my prescense here.

@rubberdogaros @crazy_pony So I did a search within my meow and yiff.life instances for 'catwoman69y2k (at) bird.makeup' and that even shows up as a user on #birdmakeup . Nothing on that timeline, because my Catwoman69y2k Twitter acct has been friends-locked since 2015/2016

Either way, you can see that there is a link to the birdmakeup Patreon on each user profile there. That is kind of exploitative if you ask me.

@Catwoman69y2k @crazy_pony it must not scrape profiles that are private, which makes sense and honestly that’s a good idea going forward. My profile is on there. It’s very exploitative and it’s extremely frustrating that they’re making money off of other people’s social media profiles in this extremely frustrating way.

@rubberdogaros @crazy_pony Yeah, there is at least that going for it. To be fair, one of my biz accts on Twitter (which *is* public) isn't showing tweets from its birdmakeup equilivant either
