You make it sound like we should all move to mastodon.social if we want these nice new features, that can’t be your intention, right?

Mastodon.social and mastodon.online are running a nightly of 4.2.
These new features aren't available on 4.1.x
@atomicpoet @koen I cannot speak for himself but I believe that he mentions mastodon.social because he knows for sure that new features are implemented.
That means that there might be other instances that rapidly adapt new features but you could never know

Is there any official communication about that? Especially about why they would want to do that?
@koen they are running last develop updates there but version keep saying v4.1.2.
Any admin who would like to test those new features can change to develop main branch at anytime and enjoy them.
