CNN has decided to promote a presidential candidate who, when he was president, tried to prevent his elected successor from taking office. It was an attempted coup d'etat.

CNN to democracy: Up yours.

Big Journalism is deliberately repeating the worst of its past performance. Let's stop pretending otherwise.

@dangillmor On the plus side, Trump ain't the guy he was in 2016 or even 2020. He's now a one-eyed weirdo trapped in a fantasy world and struggles to read speeches and needs handlers to help him in edited interviews.

I think when people see what he's like these days in an unscripted/unedited setting he's REALLY going to turn people off. His only hope is that CNN limits his answers so he can blame them for his terrible performance. The more people see him, the better.

@biobrain @dangillmor His supporters aren't going anywhere. If they're still Trump voters, one more incoherent and unhinged public speaking appearance won't be the thing that changes their mind. All this is going to do is risk humanising a dangerous traitor. He'll be back on late night talk shows next.

@AshleyMarineP Yeah we’ll never get the Trump supporters. It’s everyone else we’re after. Trump got fewer votes than other Republicans in 2020 due to Republican-leaning voters who don’t like Trump.

And Trump won’t look humanized, he’ll look like a bitter delusional weirdo who reminds everyone about all his scandals and confessing to crimes. The worst thing the media used to do was to reduce his rambling speeches into sound bites. Unedited Trump is a mess, especially now.
