The #TSA needs a new gag writer. I mean, it was one thing when they brought in full-body scanners called "#Rapiscan" but this is ridiculous.

@pluralistic The company Analog Devices in Westwood, MA, more than once had the OG stolen off their sign. They would replace those letters, but they are forever lighter and newer than the rest of the sign, so it doesn't entirely help.

@hteasley @pluralistic I’d like to think that out there is a multigenerational family that has no family story more powerful than ‘I stole the ‘o’ and ‘g’ just like my father and his father before him’. It’s not a widespread problem, just this one family that does it at every family gathering.
@robert_cassidy @hteasley @pluralistic well. It is Mass. so it could be a whole community dedicated to this purpose.

@robert_cassidy @hteasley @pluralistic heh. Buddy of mine is from a town in rural WA; family's lived there for 5 generations

one of the roads in town is named after them, so a rite of passage for the young folk in the family is to get drunk & steal a street sign that bears their name

county ain't amused by this; they've repeatedly approached Uncle Charlie & offered to give them signs, free, if they'd stop stealing them.

"Nope."

@robert_cassidy @hteasley @pluralistic I think I know where the stolen letters have been going...
