@gdeihl It will be a very long time before AI actually brings anything, if ever. I am scared of what people may do with AI as it develops, principally because these are the same people in charge of the nukes and causing climate change. Get rid of them and restore public control and proper regulation then AI will be extremely beneficial.
@janus IDK. With Bing rolling it out, and others following suit, it could turn into a big tech arms race. It already mimics human writing well, and can can create "art." What it "chooses'" to feed on for information is a big question. The potential for job loss, and disinformation, appears huge. While there could be upsides, code that writes itself seems problematic to me, a Pandora's box.
