thatdavemarsh@wheeljack Thunderhill is such a great course. Did you run the front or the full circuit?
@thatdavemarsh I wasn't driving at all; I was there to support my buddy (the white SW20) and play photographer. They were running the east course. Last time I drove Thunderhill the west side hadn't been put in yet.
@wheeljack we ran Lemons there a couple times. I remember following the crazy guys running the Vanagons getting wheels off the ground on that front turn/elevation drop. They had nerves of steel to sit over the front wheel, up high, and toss those things like they did.
@thatdavemarsh heh, the first time I ran Thunderhill was in my foxbody with stock foxbody brakes. They caught on fire my third time coming into turn 10.
@wheeljack last lap, end of Saturday, went off track at the last turn on the last lap, right before the front straight, right across from the pit entrance. Hard braking in the turn and….nothing but grass.
@thatdavemarsh Hey, at least you waited until your last lap to go agricultural. That same event I spun coming out of turn 1 on my first lap. That day I learned a valuable lesson about cold tires. 😆
