I have sufficient reason and evidence to believe that I was terminated from Rune Labs in retaliation for protected anti-discrimination whistleblowing activity.

Normally, NDA would prohibit me from disclosing this. However, thanks to Washington’s Silenced No More Act, my ability to speak about discrimination, harassment, or retaliation that I have witnessed in the workplace is legally protected.

🔊Boosts appreciated.

I Was Laid Off In Retaliation for Anti-Discrimination Whistleblowing – Haste Makes Waste

In order to protect women, gender nonconforming folks, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community from suffering as my peers and I have, I feel ethically obligated to go public with my experience. In this article, I will outline why I have sufficient reason to believe that my former employer Rune Labs has violated US anti-discrimination labor laws.

@Haste JFC.

Thanks for posting this. It's good for people in tech to see such a solid example of how we're supposed to try to help each other. I'm sorry it ended the way it did, but I truly hope your story will get a few other people to stand up and call out the BS. (Or at least help them see how toxic their environment really is, and get out on their own terms.)

As someone else in MedTech, it disgusts me to see this in an industry where the point is to try to help each other.

@rick Thanks, fam. ❤️

I recently had someone who was considering an offer reach out to me to ask if they should work there, and I realized this cycle was just going to repeat if nobody said anything.

I hope you get to spend your workdays making people’s lives better instead of dealing with whatever *this* was. <gestures wildly>

Also it’s good to hear from you :)
