The first is about the debt ceiling—a problem no one in the GOP wants to own but everyone will eventually have to address. Speaker Kevin McCarthy cobbled together exactly 217 against 215 votes, for a bill that slashes government spending across the board. It will go nowhere in the Senate—Democrats there

The one thing we know: they absolutely will not use them to build anything. The GOP does not create; they destroy.
@jaykuo Wouldn't it be great if someone could push through a federal law holding politicians or their party directly responsible for the personal harm caused by the bills they pass? Women died because they weren't allowed access to healthcare? You pay. A child was raped is forced to birth her baby? Well the kid can't work so you're now on the hook for supporting them until they are of legal age. And no, you can't use state taxes to pay for this, all the funds come straight from the GOP coffers.
