As you see healthcare workers and hospitals celebrating the end of mask mandates, remember that "nosocomial bloodstream infections led to a 3.4-fold increase in 90-day mortality at a hospital." And that's not just #COVID19. We KNOW that ill patients seeking care who are infected in hospitals have a MUCH higher rate of death. The question isn't, "Should we remove masks now in hospitals?" It's, "Why aren't healthcare workers masking all the time to protect patients?" https://www.jwatch.org/na54494/2022/01/13/nosocomial-bloodstream-infections-markedly-raise-death

@augieray we have masked for over 30 years in dentistry and our patients are not often sick. This should be a no brainer in the medical field. I’m still required to wear a respirator for most procedures. We have always worn gloves and hand wash constantly. I would feel out of sync not doing this in a place with sick and vulnerable people
