@decolonialatlas After spending a good bit of time in Nepal, and making friends with some local guys over our shared love of soccer and tablas, my traveling buddy and I both commented on how nice it was to get contact comfort from platonic same-sex friends, and how absurdly homophobic our own society suddenly appeared to us.

@decolonialatlas given the presence of the Philippines, India, Pakistan, & the entirety of sw Asia & much of Africa, I don't think man on man handholding as friends is evidence of cultural homosexual friendliness. Pretty sure the two are totally unrelated, & neither Rajiv nor Nnamdi nor Abdullah is liable to think "no homo" when holding partha or musa's hand. Try again.
