@newt @ilja If I am speaking from my personal experience I will agree with you. But the Pleroma UI feels like it's stuck in 2013 and I can see why most people wouldn't like it.

@EricZhang456 @ilja @newt if you can see why most people wouldn't like it can you maybe explain it? I've been hearing a lot of this argument and also arguments that i.e. soapbox is "more modern" but i've yet to hear coherent explanation. Is it just stylistic preference or something actually functional or layout related?

@hj @ilja @EricZhang456 @newt May I try outlining some sources of where akkoma-fe is backward? Language switcher doesn't respect the user's browser locale, and resets to English a couple times a week. Theming ignores the system font and dark mode setting. Panels with rounded corners have leaking backgrounds when scrolling. Three different menus show same buttons to switch between timelines. One list of timelines is behind an extra dropdown. Long usernames in popovers are "css is awesome" meme.
