It was such an honor to be able to attend Bert Hölldobler's retirement celebration from #asuSOLS yesterday. Of course, he couldn't help but send us out with a charming story! A legend in his field and a wonderful person to work with. We look forward to his emeritus returns!!

But of course the biggest treat has been just getting to know Bert a little over past few years - and, of course, becoming a part of the amazing Social Insect Research Group (SIRG) that he, Rob Page, Jen Fewell, and Jon Harrison started at #ASU all those years ago. Legacy indeed!
