When I was writing a book for my daughters I felt like the main character needed to play the fibonacci sequence as music. In dividing the sequence and using the remainders for the notes, I discovered these repeating sequences (I didn't know what they were called at the time). This discovery was the impetus for me to learn python better to test that it worked for any sized keyboard(divisor). I noticed that some of the melodies complemented each other in a similar way. This moment was a precious one for me - a moment of discovery. I later learned they were called the Pissano periods.
