I'm starting to sound like a broken record on this, but deploying CO₂ removal (#CDR) when we're emitting 40+ billion tonnes of CO₂ every year makes zero sense.

We need to decarbonize ASAP, and at the same time, research, developed, test, and decide which climate solutions are effective, don't have horrible side effects, and can be applied justly.

Deployment of CDR will come later, to remove residual emissions.

The flawed logic of rushing out extreme climate solutions

Forging too fast into controversial terrain can spark backlashes that stall research and limit our options.

@davidho I feel like if its cutting from other things being done, then that's a bad thing.
But if its getting unique funding to itself, it is wonderful to see mutual support between communities, even ones that are miniscule.
