First boat in: Simon Curwen has arrived this morning. Simon had equipment failure near South America and had to stop and effect repairs - shifting him to non-race class. He found favorable wins to get in first (to say least).

Exciting finish - for a round-the-world event, on it's 235 day.
Kirsten is only about 5 miles from Les Sables-d'Olonne...
The winds have dropped. If the fog from earlier has cleared - she is likely getting first glimpses of land and certainly as dark sets in - the lights will be blazing.
At current speed - still a few hours away... nature doing her best to lend more drama!
Kirsten will have significant entries in the record books, when she steps foot on the dock.

Very close to the last mile - and the wind is so quiet. Water is nearly glass, with a light swell.
