This past week has been incredibly stressful for me and my partner. My grandma was in a car accident caused by weather that rolled her car multiple times. After she came to, she noticed that her little dog was missing. So, my partner and I basically rush to the other side of the state to start the hunt for her dog. We then spent the next day near the accident site with live catch traps looking for him and following up on different vague leads. We met some very nice ladies that then helped us over the next week by checking the traps and following up on leads as my partner and I had to work. My grandma made it out with no broken bones or a concussion. In fact, she told the person giving the neuro eval that she was not going to the tests because she had already gave herself one and said that she was fine.
Over the next week, my sister and partner continued to direct the search from afar and we were going to start slowing down the efforts. My grandma had actually gone to the area of a sighting with a friend of hers without telling anyone. We only found that out when she messaged my partner where the sighting was and then I messaged my mom if she knew that my grandma had gone. So we knew that this was taking a toll on her as well.

Then, last night, we receive a message over the family chat that the dog, Mikki, has been found. This hit as I was heading out the store to pick up things for dinner. I call my partner to say have you seen the message, she is "what message?" and then looks at her messages and screams into the phone and the computer which as discord running with her family for weekly game night and then rushes off the phone to call my cousin and my sister, etc. We then finally get visual confirmation when my mom and grandma arrives to pick him up and the reunion makes me cry because of the amount of stress this has put on me and my partner.

This man had seen the post on Facebook in one of the many groups the information was posted and had taken his dog out for a walk near the accident scene. Then last night, Mikki showed up at his door, having followed the scent of his dog. He got food and water and much loving from this man's daughter. Mikki didn't have a scratch on him. He was just hungry and exhausted.
