@echo_pbreyer I have a son who is now 20 years old. He played FIFA since 2011 and has played Minecraft since before then.

When he became aware of the Internet we, as parents, chose to educate him on its negatives instead of trying to control his activities.

I never implemented Parental Controls on his devices or put domain blocks on our network.

Did he spend time seeking-out pornography or otherwise dangerous, to teenagers, content? No. He knew that material was out there but he never had the desire to access it.

It's our belief that if you impose these types of restrictions on minors it piques their interest and forms a desire to investigate the "forbidden" content.

So, the EU will likely enact these controls and anyone who doesn't follow them will be labelled as a bad actor but, honestly, it won't make a significant difference. Only education of the benefits and negatives of what the Internet offers can do that.

And that's the responsibility of parents not governments.
