This picture is going to be printed in history books as a turning-point for transgender people in the US. The open question is, which direction will the turn be in?

I don't know, and I don't have ideas for what I can do, but we are on the cusp of big, scary changes that will affect everyone, not just trans people, not just minorities.

If you were waiting for a call to action, here it is. They just banned her from the MT House using the rules of decorum. What better metaphor for where we are?

@SallyPaul @taedryn open your home and wallet to everyday transgender people and their families when they begin to flee from these fascist, genocidal states, if you live in a safe one. I say get them out, asap. Be loud, but know that Biden/Dems won't save transgender people fast enough, if at all. We have to be proactive like last decade, but better now than never. I'm grateful my trans teen and I are in a safe place, for now. So many of our friends and family live in places that are not. #WeKeepUsSafe

@SallyPaul @taedryn remember that lots of people might not have the resources or privilege or family in another state to just flee, those folks are the ones that will need the most assistance getting out.
