Jay UlfelderI don't know if the increasingly open calls from right-wing influencers for violence against trans people and their allies are heartfelt or cynical ploys to draw attention, but as someone who's studied ethnic conflict and mass atrocities, I know that it doesn't matter; dangerous speech has the same effect either way.

I do have friends and family I'm starting to worry for, as well anyone out there who is falling under the cross hairs.
