@brendannyhan Or just require anyone running for public office to pass a civics test (with the study materials freely available). Of course: the #GQP would then screech either if one of their own failed it, or if some opposition scapegoat whom they'd derided as "stupid" 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 it.
