Bratislava is a lovely city with very friendly people. I've really enjoyed my stay here.
@rowenamonde Nice little capital city, I liked it when I visited some years ago.
@timrichards Did you mention you were going again soon? I think it was you who persuaded me to go when I was feeling unsure😁

@rowenamonde Yeah I did, I'm a great fan of Central Europe and especially the former communist countries. BTW I wrote a book about travelling through post-communist Poland which might be of interest: https://www.amazon.com/Kick-Stalins-Cow-Travels-Post-Communist-ebook/dp/B01MS1E44I/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=&linkCode=sl1&tag=tiriiwr-20&linkId=d3807b93b510a6db0d4917aa5179aa4b

Not heading to Slovakia soon, but I am flying to Portugal tomorrow, then by train to Spain, France, Italy, Croatia and Serbia.

@timrichards Ooh, I will get this book for sure, thank you! Where in Portugal are you going? I visited for the first time in December and really liked it. I'm off to Spain on Monday, then Morocco.
@rowenamonde Only Lisbon for a few days. Morocco sounds cool, have always wanted to go.
@timrichards Enjoy Lisbon! I really liked it. Anything specific you're planning to see?
@rowenamonde I have a couple of tours planned - one food-related, one tram-related, and a fado session. Otherwise I'll nose around. Maybe visit the tile museum.
@timrichards Great picks! Just in case it's not on your radar I'd highly recommend the Alfama neighbourhood. Maybe that's where you plan on attending your fado session. It's such a great neighbourhood, I've been meaning to write about it.
