Little exercise I just did to focus myself on what kind of #art I’d like to make and how to get get there.

This was Step 1: listing all of my favorite #artists (on IG) and the qualities I like about them, then adding up all the qualities to see if anything outside of the obvious (like my love for rough, analog, retro #illos) jumped out at me. (I’m into gathering & interpreting data)

Step 2 was writing down all the things I can do do get better, including #drawing daily and posting said shitty drawing every day.

I’d love to use #Pixelfed but … I’m waiting for Pixelfed.art to open up registrations.

@arpcomics I, too would like to use #Pixelfed but … & waiting for Pixelfed.art to open up registrations

Interesting research approach. It doesn’t overwhelm you?

@tylerzonia No, because I don't need it for reference (otherwise it would). This was mostly an exercise to 'think' better by writing stuff out.

I actually wrote all the factors out in one color and then changed them to different colors, which wasn't necessary but was kinda fun to do.

@arpcomics I would argue multiple colors IS necessary, as it adds another layer of sorting & tone 😁
@tylerzonia It certainly helped. And the busywork of making them different colors was also enjoyable. However, I did stop myself from making the saturation of the colors match the importance of the factors, which is progress 😆
