Jay UlfelderI don't know if the increasingly open calls from right-wing influencers for violence against trans people and their allies are heartfelt or cynical ploys to draw attention, but as someone who's studied ethnic conflict and mass atrocities, I know that it doesn't matter; dangerous speech has the same effect either way.

not trans but I grew up autistic in a world before diagnoses and help existed. At best I was the 'weird kid' at worst I was ridiculed, bullied and beaten up and never understood why other than it being firmly ingrained in me that I was 'not normal'.
That's why I will always call out Transphobia, homophobia, racism, etc. when I see it.
Being hated for something you fundamentally are that, in no way, harms anyone in any way whatsoever is fucking brutal.
No one should suffer that
