In my profile I promised long-exposure and time-lapse, and then some infrared. Today I'm experimenting with #infrared #timelapse #photography using #IR950

(once again #somewhere in the #Eifel @elephantoot 😜)

📷 #SamsungNX NX500 + S 16-50 lens; 3s between shots, each shot 1/125s ISO100
 processed using #darktable (20mins recording, 2hr darktable export to JPEG, 15s resulting video)

And here's another #infrared #timelapse, but with #IR530 filter and red/blue channel swap, and some nice layers of clouds.

@ge0rg @elephantoot

Very impressive! Make me want ot experiment with IR filters too!

@xs4me2
Thanks! The hard part is not the filters but converting the camera to full spectrum - you need to remove the built in IR blocker in front of the sensor.

Easiest: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4544491

Harder for most models: 30mins disassembly for my #SamsungNX, commercial conversions around 100-200$

@ge0rg 👍
I cannot place the perspective however. So #somewhere or #somewhereelse? 😂 🤔
@elephantoot
I'm located directly south of the antenna, some 2.5km maybe...
@ge0rg that was my initial guess, but I expected more forest on that side as well. But usually I am only on the northern side of the antenna, so I have no idea what the other side looks like. 😂
