@andrewwerth wow Andrew, what stunning metallic lustre! don't suppose you'd care to share your approach to creating it? I suspect that the dark-light gradient is critical, if I've understood anything about metallic lustre.

@TonyVladusich Thanks, Tony! The "chromostereopsis" dimensional effect in this piece comes from the contrast between the blues & reds, and you're right that some of the same lustre/glow comes from the gradient in the marks on top of an underpainting.
