@kbsez @timkmak one hacky idea for a timed announcement would be to use the poll closed push notification functionally that at least the default Android client has. You could create a poll that is scheduled to close when you will make the announcement and tell people to vote if they want to know about the news. Could then reply to your own poll with a link to the announcement post once it's up to make things easy for people coming from the push notification.
